Tim Fitzpatrick - Freelance Science Writer
With professional experience in both the lab and advertising, Tim Fitzpatrick brings a comprehensive approach to scientific and promotional writing. Tim has a BS in biology/chemistry minor and has taken graduate level chemistry courses. In addition, Tim has a BFA in music business.
His training provides a foundation for projects in the area of chemistry and medical devices, but he is also comfortable with various life science areas and has a unique passion for food science. Tim’s first career after graduating was in radio advertising. After spending a few years in that field, Tim moved into the Internet advertising arena. When the Internet bubble burst in 2001, Tim left his job and returned to his interest in science.
With two degrees behind him, Tim set out to learn about science by working as an organic chemist. Tim conducted chemical reactions, wrote protocols, authored chemical spill policies, and brainstormed new ways of purifying compounds for production.
